The term Yoga Nidra means yogic or psychic sleep. It is a state of consciousness between waking and sleeping, induced by a guided meditation. It is said that the history of Yoga Nidra is as old as Yoga itself, as it is mentioned as early as the Upanishads. In the Mahabharata, Lord Krishna is associated with Yoga Nidra.

A typical Yoga Nidra class is 30 to 45 minutes long, and you begin by lying down on your back in Savasana (legs extended, arms by your sides with palms facing up). If you don’t have a teacher you can always use YouTube guided meditation for this.
Yoga Nidra is easy to perform, does not require a seated posture and concentration, and seems to positively impact psychological variables, such as anxiety and depression. Therefore, it might represent a therapeutic technique with preventive, promotive, and curative value. Read more here ⬇️
